This space will
belong to women. Each month there will
be a guest writer to present an article and there will be an accompanying
podcast of an interview Herman does with the guest.
From my
perspective there is a difference between the way women approach business and
the way men conduct it. This is not
unlike various cultural backgrounds...that ultimately meet in the
marketplace. At some point the same
rules apply to all who participate...but everyone brings their own perspective to
the table.
One of my
findings is that women network much better than men do. Another is that women can "stand alone"
better than men do...women do not have to have their "fraternity brothers"
approval like men seem to need. But over
the years I have witnessed one factor that women are consistent with men
about...they are failing at a similar rate.
My thought is that in the end, the rules of business "get" everyone
regardless of race, creed, cultural background or gender.
I have enjoyed
listening to women entrepreneurs share their point of view, I have learned from
observing how women business owners conduct their careers, and I want to
continue hearing from women to enhance my education. Herman University would not be complete
unless we focused at least some of our content specifically from women.
